Spouse is coming home early!
He�ll be home tomorrow, and off till Monday. I was just going to take Thursday off, but he called last night and suggested I try to get Friday as well. So I broached the subject this morning and it was okayed. Sweet!
But I�ll probably be hating on him by Monday�
I gave in to temptation on the way home yesterday, and stopped at the Chinese takeaway for a combo�s&s pork, fried rice, egg roll, and a fortune cookie. When I have the Jones for Chinese, it�s best to just surrender. I fought it all weekend, but now I�m sorry I did. By the time I�d caved, I was voracious, and ate enough to feed two people. The servings are huge at that place, and I vacuumed up most of it. If I�d gone at the beginning of the weekend, I probably would have had more self-control.
I went on the net last night to see about getting some Kerry and Feingold signs for the yard. Our neighborhood is looking awfully repugna-con, and it�s making me sick. Russ, moderately cool guy that he is, had a download sign on his site, but with Kerry, it is all about the bucks. So I found out where the Dem headquarters was in town, and drove over to see if I could get a sign. They didn�t have any, but were taking orders on a sign-up sheet, so I put myself down for a Russ and a K/E. I also got bumper stickers, which I put up on the dash, along the bottom of the windshield. I don�t put sticky stuff on my car. But I want to stop at the office supply store and see if they have the magnetic backing, so I can use them on the back of the rocket. I hope I can find it, because I�m also designing some of my own that I want to use. I have one design that says
Support the Troops-Replace the President!, and another that says: An Independent Political Centrist for Kerry/Edwards. I�m working on one that addresses the whole no representation for the centrists thing, but I can�t come up with anything cool.
The Feingold download is kinda cool� The slogan is Sticking up for RUSS, with Feingold 2004 in smaller print. I printed one put it on my front door.
My next endeavor will be to get a jobsforkenosha sign in order to support the casino referendum. Judging from the address of the place, I will want to be going down there in daylight. But I keep seeing the vote no signs and now the next-door neighbor has one. What the frick is she worried about? If you want to talk bad elements in the community, let�s discuss that Mexican used car lot your illegal alien �husband� is running�
I really thing that if Wisconsin gets anymore repugna-con, I will have to move. But with the sun belt getting all right wing, damned if I know where to go anymore. And it really always comes back to the over-simplified, extremist right/left divisions.
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right.
Sigh.
For someone who is thinking of ending her dieting for a while, I�m sure not changing ritual much. At least not during the day. I�m still taking the supplements and having a Slimfast bar for lunch and drinking my water and metabolism tea. I�ll even take a walk if the notion strikes me.
It�s only at nights and weekends that I turn into a ravening hellbeast with food in my mouth and my ass in a chair.
