Put these words on individual objects or pieces of paper and place them into a container. Each morning, draw out a word, and make that your thing for the day.

1. If it is believing, take some time think about your beliefsreligion, philosophy, ethicswhatever is important to you. Question if you are acting your beliefs your practical, everyday life. Consider ways to improve your actions in this regard, and make a real effort to do so.
2. Planningplan something. Dont take action; just spend some time planning out. How would you go about completing a task or achieving a goal? Or design somethingsketch out a plan for a flowerbed, come up with a menu for a special occasionanything goes!
3. Creatingnow is the time to take action. Whether it is writing, baking, needle work, craftsmake something today! Take a chance, and dont worry if it isnt perfectin the end, you have given your creativity a chance to shine, even if it turns out all you have made is a mess!
4. Dreamingindulge in a nice daydream today. Really commit to the process, and make it as detailed, as lofty, as improbable as you want. Just have a nice little break from reality.
5. Visualizingdo a visualization relaxation exercise and work on taking yourself out of your surroundings for a time.
6. Organizingwe all have something that could use a little organizing. Pick a drawer, a cupboard, a closet, your hobby box, recipes, or anything that could use some tidying. It could even be your computer files. Spend at least 15 minutes just organizing the heck out of it. You can spend more, but be sure to give it at least a quarter of an hour.
7. Learningthis one is simple: learn something. By the time you go to bed, you should know something you didnt know when you got up in the morning. Most people can do this one without trying very hard! If you need a jump-start, go to Wikipedia and hit the random article button until you find something interesting to learn about.
8. Movingbestir yourself! Stretch, walk, touch your toes; whatever feels good. Make a point today to be more physically active than usual.
9. Laughingseek out something that makes you laugh, smile, or just say awwww.
10. Thanking--find something to be grateful for. Express gratitude to whoever is responsible for you having what youre grateful for.
11. ThinkingSpend a little time just thinking.
12. Meditatinggive 15 minutes of time to clearing your mind, focusing on an object, and thinking of nothing at all except that object.
13. Cleaninggive something a good cleaning. Could be a room, your car, a sink, a peteven your fingernails.
14. LovingTell somebody dear to you that you love them today. (Can't think of a person? Tell a pet. No pets? Tell any famous person that you want. Tweet it, write it in the steam on your bathroom mirror, or just say the words out loud.)

Once you have drawn out your word, you can do one of two things: you can put it back into the container and start every day with 14 different chances, or you can put it into a separate container, and once the first container is empty and the second container is full, start all over again.

recede - proceed
